ART OF THE STREETS

TRAILER
The special report «Art of the streets» conveys all sides of street art showed at the festival «Cultural Code» in Chelyabinsk. How to draw a picture the size of a house, where is the line between vandalism and creativity and will street artists be given a «green light» in the region?
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN AUDIENCE FOR YOUR WORK, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A CRITICISM, AND OF COURSE THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE WHO WILL REMAIN INDIFFERENT TO THE THING YOU HAVE FILMED AND AIRED. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NORMAL. THE MAIN THING IS TO KEEP YOURSELF AS AN AUTHOR, AS A CREATOR!

— Is there a difference between a documentary and a TV-movie? Why?
There is a difference between a documentary and a television film, and we have always been taught to distinguish between them. A documentary film is a work based on real events and personalities. A TV-movie is a product that was prepared specifically for the broadcast. It is based on the ideology of profit-making. This product must be watchable, colorful and interesting in order to have a high rating and get more money for publishing advertisement.

Maybe my view of making a TV-movie is a little naive, but I believe that it should stop being a product and start to be called a «work of art». Only by forgetting about the thoughts of profit and money you begin to create truly. The main thing is to keep yourself as an author, as a creator!
— What is the «Dialogue of Cultures» for you?
In my opinion, «Dialogue of Cultures» is an opportunity to tell about the traditions and culture of your family, your people, ability to learn the same from others. it is important to preserve the culture of different countries and to be able to talk about it in order to understand why we are different from each other, why it is important.
