The 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter the Great is celebrated in 2022. By this date we plan to hold the International challenge «Peter I. Window to Europe».

WHAT IS ALL THIS ABOUT?
The main goal of this challenge is to show that with open windows we invite each other to join the Dialogue and we are all open to it, no matter which part of the world we stay now.
HOW TO TAKE PART IN THIS CHALLENGE?
We would like you to shoot a short 15-30 sec. video with you opening the window and showing your native country.
WHAT SHOULD I FILM?
The video should consist of:
- The close-up or medium shot of you looking at the camera;
- The view «from your window» which is not something you literally see when you look at your window. It should be something special that make the viewer feel your country and city (landmarks, landscape, people, food, markets, crafts, traffic, etc.).
BUT WHAT IF I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GO OUTSIDE DUE TO LOCKDOWN IN MY COUNTRY?
Of course, the ideal option is if you film everything on your own, including an establishing shoot taken from the most popular place of your city or country, some detailed shots which could tell us where you are from.

But in case you really cannot do it, you can use a free footage for this purpose, but not too obvious. If you are French you do not need to film or use a footage of an Eiffel Tower, better take a video of someone buying a baguette in the local bakery.
WHAT ARE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VIDEO?
Your video has to be shot in horizontal format, 16:9, 25 fps.
WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EDIT VIDEO?
Please send us both the final edit of your video (for those, who works in video editing software) and raw material. As a reference you can the video below (as you see it's a compilation of our personal shooting, and stock footage of Saint Petersburg).
