ABOUT THE FORUM
For the past 13 years «Dialogue of Cultures» has been remaining one of the biggest platforms located in Russia, where representatives of the international media space from more than 30 countries meet every year. Joining the work of the Forum you become a part of a huge media event: try to find by joint effort the answers on the media challenges, present your own transboundary projects, aimed at overcoming the conflicts between representatives of different cultures and confessions, adopt experience of colleagues from other countries and find new friends in profession.

YOUR GREAT STORY ABOUT THE GREAT EMPEROR
Celebrations related to the anniversary of Peter the Great, who managed to transform patriarchal Russia to a huge and powerful Russian Empire, strong and enlightened European superpower the whole world started to reckon with, are beginning in 2019. The Organizers of the «Dialogue» suggest journalists to submit their scripts for filming in Saint-Petersburg, in which the identity of Peter the Great, who thanks to his energy, determination and curiosity managed «to cut through a window to the West», will be revealed. The best scripts will provide the basis for future videos made by preformed mixed groups, which will consist of the Forum's participants: correspondents, cameramen and photographers from different countries.
FACES OF THE VICTORY
This year one of the sections of the photo exhibition «Here I Live», traditionally held in the framework of the Forum, will be devoted to the 75 Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Organizing Committee starts the gathering of emotional photographs of veterans from Russia, former USSR and far-abroad countries. These works will become not only a part of the exhibition display «Victory. 75 years later» at the General Staff Building of the State Hermitage Museum, but also a message from the new generation, who has never faced the horrors of war, therefore, are respecting those people, who got through the fascism and, having won, granted peace to their descendants.

The hero of your journalistic work could also be the State Hermitage Museum itself that celebrates his 255 anniversary this year. The Forum's participants could hold shootings in the halls of the museum that will be later shared with the audience of their media or blog as a tv-spot, photo-coverage, long read, etc. The organizers will also give journalists, who will have submitted themes of the possible photo/ video reports by the 14th of October, an opportunity to explore the Restoration and the Staraya Derevnya Storage Centre and get to know how looks like the daily life of the museum's workers who give second life to its exhibits.

SECTIONS OF THE DIALOGUE
The program of the Forum is very diverse and is aimed not only at the representatives of registered in their country media, but also at independent journalists, photographers, filmmakers, bloggers, editors of Internet-portals or another digital-media outlets. Every participant could express his opinion on the up-to-date changes in the media space, present openly his own professional achievements in different formats, it could be: an article in a newspaper or magazine, TV-spot, a documentary film, series of photographs or a cross-border multimedia project.

- Transportation is covered by the participant or his/her sending organization;
- Accommodation is covered by the participant or his/her sending organization. Hotel «Oktyabrskaya», from which there are free transfers to Hermitage, offers special discount prices for participants during the Forum's work (25.11-28.11, check in after 14.00, check out till 12.00). If you choose this type of accommodation, please mark it in your application form in a corresponding field together with the category of the room, and we will book it for you.

- The duration of the TV-spots is up to 3 minutes, documentary films – up to 13 minutes;
- Videos should be provided with subtitles in English.
