In the summer of 2010, an international media forum took place in Minsk in which participated about 100 journalists from 18 countries, such as Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Syria and Great Britain. If all those who took an active part in numerous master classes and round tables, that were held during mediaforum, were counted, the participants' account goes to thousands.

In the progect «Belarus: a view from the side» participants of the Forum were offered a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the life of the republic: film crews, newspaper observers made trips to the towns and villages of Belarus, met local citizens, the representatives of industrial, business, scientific and art elite. The president of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko answered the journalists’ questions. Also during the Forum, the president of the International Academy of Television and Radio Anatoly Lysenko opened the Summer School of Television Craftsmanship and Telecommunications, where for several days the leading masters of television and radio were holding master classes for journalists.
